Tickle my Fancy

Hi my name is Nora and I'm a feather addict. I have been in love with feathered skirts and dresses for some time now, I first realised I was a feather addict when I fell in love with a black feather skirt in Zara, I've worn it to death now and its lost a few feathers along the way. So imagine my delight to find so many new season pieces adorned with feathers! Here's my favourite pieces, which one to invest in first....

This is the last of my holiday outfit posts, as I am still without internet (stupid sky and moving house) my holiday outfits have been the perfect posts to keep you guys ticking over till I can upload my new outfit photos (which I can't wait to show you). Life has been pretty hectic and I've yet to have a weekend where I don't have house guests or I'm not entertaining, which I'm not complaining about as its been lovely to have so many friends and family that want to come view mine and the boys new place but it leaves little time to find an place with internet and blog, so bare with me till I get internet and then it will be back to the regular blogging schedule!! I had a cheeky trip to the new Forever 21 store at the Manchester Trafford centre this weekend so keep posted for my naughty purchases!

Neon Dreams

Top: Primark
Skirt: H&M
Belt: H&M
Silver Bracelet: Duty Free
Clutch: Dorothy Perkins
Turquoise Ring: YSL
Sandals: Aldo

As my first ever outfit post was what I wore on my first holiday of the year during the day, so I thought for these outfit posts and for the most recent holiday (2 in a year, I know lucky right?!) I'd do my outfit posts on what I wore each night instead. This is what I wore on my first night, don't ask me why I've not done these in order, honest answer I don't know but here it is, an outfit stepping away from my usual colour palette of grey, black and white and actually embracing colour and neon no less!
Thoughts?

Peacocking

Dress: H&M
Belt: Next
Gladiator Sandals: River Island
Gold Necklace: H&M
Gold Cuff: TopShop

This has got to be one of my favourite outfits I wore on holiday, I picked up this simple maxi dress from H&M for just £9.99 after impulsively going in while passing, the dress itself is simple but the colour is so striking and it can be worn in so many ways it was an effortless outfit choice on my holiday when a day in the sun fried my brain and the ability to think up of an evening outfit.

I loved pairing gold accessories with it as it really made the colour pop and the slits up both sides made it a little different, I received loads of compliments on it, I tried to find it online to post the link for you guys but alas it wasn't there, anyone else hate H&M website?! However it is still in store and absolute bargain and available in different colours. I was planning on pairing this with a jumper and belting it when I got back to make it work in this "English Summer"however the torrential down pour has stopped me from wearing anything full length, as I don't want to sweep the rain down the streets of Manchester!

In June...

I Moved in with my Boyfriend...
Me and the boy have been together just under two years now and for the majority of that time we've spent in separate cities so now we have both graduated and both based in the same city we've moved into our first place together. I've got to say I love having my own place and I'm pretty sure IKEA's profits have risen!

We had our first house guests...
No sooner had we moved in our new place did our first guests descend on us (and im tlaking literally 48 hours) but as they flew all the way from Australia we let me them off! My best friend and her boyfriend who are cruelly based on the other side of the world flew in to see us on yet another one of their world travelling sprees. It was lovely to catch up with my bestie, drink cocktails and generally make up for the fact we are normally 12 hours apart.

I received my uni results
After four long years and many stressful exams, presentations and one hell of a dissertation I am extremely proud to say that I received a first for every piece of work and exam and have now graduated with a first class honours degree in International Fashion Marketing. You can see my post about my graduation outfit here. I now have letters after my name and everything!

I gained two more family members
My huge family (my mums the youngest of 8 children) just got a little bigger as my two wonderful cousins gave birth to two adorable little boys. Say hello to Henry Robert Thomas Parker and Lucas Ethan Kendrick, I can't wait to meet them both properly and I'm so proud of my growing family.

I went on holiday...
My wonderful parents treated myself and my boyfriend to a holiday to Palma as a gift for our degree results. 10 days of beautiful weather, relaxation, sight seeing and scoring some amazing bargains in the local markets (check out my instagram account to have a peek - username: Ella_nora) made for a wonderful holiday and I can't thank my parents enough for the chance to relax and a well earned break!

What did you get up to in June?

Graduating

Top: Topshop
Shoes: Zara
Turquoise Ring: Spanish Market
Daisy Ring: Alex Monroe

With everything that's been happening recently it hasn't quite sunken in that I've actually finished university for ever and with a first class honours degree, might I add. But today I'm actually graduating and in a few hours when I'm standing on the stage and handed my diploma no doubt it will sink in!

I'm beyond thrilled that my hard work has paid off and I've got the grade I really wanted, sorry to waffle but I'm kinda over the moon!

Anyway I thought I'd share my graduation outfit with you, I treated myself to a new one I and fell in love with this skirt which wasn't what I planned to wear but I had to have it! Let me know what you think.

Roll With It

Dress: Lipsy
Belt: Primark
Shoes: NewLook
Turquoise Ring: YSL
Gold Bracelet: TopShop

As promised here is another break down of one of my outfits from my Holiday, unfortunately I am now back in rainy Manchester and days of 40 degree heat and lazying by the pool are just a distant memory. However I can't complain to much as I came back to the lovely apartment me and my boyfriend have just moved into. I worked out I've actually spent longer in Spain than I have in this apartment, so I can't wait to get settled in and make it a home! We are still at that hectic stage of organising bills, rates, TV & internet connections so I'm blogging when I can, but if you stick with me as soon as we get wifi internet my posts will be a lot more regular and I've got some really exciting things planned for my little blog!

Anyways enough rambling from me, I'm off to enjoy a night in my apartment with the lovely boyfriend, hope you enjoy my post and check back later on in the week for my outfit post on my Graduation outfit!

It's my birthday and I'll blog if I want to!

As you already know I'm currently sunning myself in Spain, however what you may not know is that while I've been here it's been my birthday and I am now the grand old age of 22! And although I fully intend to dedicate several blog posts when I'm back to my holiday wardrobe and what I wore each night I couldn't resist sharing with you what I wore on my birthday. For those of you who follow me on Instagram (ella_nora in case you wanted to start) will of already seen a sneak peek as well as what I've worn each night (I'm getting into this whole outfit post thing) but heres what I choose to celebrate my birthday in which coincidently fell on the final of the world cup (which my bf tells me Spain won) so it was a very good night out. Hitch a Ride

Jumper: BraveSoul Jeans: French Connection Boots: TopShop Bag: Zara
Necklace: Miss Selfridge Watch: Micheal Kors Ring: YSL

I received this jumper a few weeks ago from the lovely team at BraveSoul right around the time it was the heat wave and then with moving house I hadn't had time to do an outfit post around it. Basically I fell in love with it at the collection launch, which you can read about here and had to have it! Its so soft with just the right amount of slouchy to not make me look like I'm hiding a pregnancy bump but enough to keep me all snuggled up. I plan on wearing it belted with a bright coloured midi skirt and also slouchy with a grey maxi skirt, which I'll do a separate post on. But I decided to show you guys how I styled it for a casual day out with the family. I got many compliments on the jumper and I'm tempted to buy it in the other colour as its great for throwing on, especially as that 1 week of sun seemed to be our summer. Make sure you check out the BraveSoul website as they've just gone into sale so there's lots of bargains to be had!
